Vice President Kamala Harris canceled her scheduled appearance with Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, with plans to attend a campaign event instead.

On Monday, Harris campaigned in Las Vegas and returned to Los Angeles Monday evening. She did not go back to Washington, DC.
The vice president has made the issue of abortion rights a central part of her campaign message.
She made a surprise appearance at the Power Leadership and Influence of Black Women luncheon in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Sen. Laphonza Butler was being honored.
The states are passing Trump abortion bans. So we're not going to fall for the okey-doke,' she said, referring to Trump's comments opposing a federal abortion ban. 'We are not going to be gaslit about what is at play and who is to blame.'

Harris also attended a fundraiser on Friday at the Beverly Hills home of comedian Seth Macfarlane. About 30 people attended.
"Vice President Harris has been a champion of this issue, doing her best under the toughest of circumstances to try to explain to her male colleagues how a period works," MacFarlane joked during the event.
The vice president last appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show in July 2019, when she was running her own campaign for president.
